PCNY Presentation Print Annual Artist Talk: James Siena

The Print Club of New York 2024 Presentation print artist is JAMES SIENA
Continuing its more than 30-year tradition of commissioning major artists to make a print specifically for the Club, the Print Club is honored and delighted to have James Siena as our 2024 Presentation artist.
James Siena is internationally known for his prints, drawings, and paintings that highlight design and color in what he has called “complex grids with irregular intervals.” The print that he has made for the Club epitomizes his style, providing immediate visual pleasure and continuing fascination. The works of James Siena can be found in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum and many more well-known institutions.
At our September 17 event, we will be fortunate to also have Phil Sanders, a master printer and award-winning author of Prints and their Makers. James worked with Phil in the creation of this print and together they will provide an illuminating discussion of the collaborative relationship between artist and printer.
Reception with refreshments, 6:30 – 7:00 PM

Reception and informal conversation with presenters and among guests, 8:00-9:00 pm
