Judy Pfaff’s Yukata A and Yukata B are the 2016 Presentation Print commissioned by the Print Club of New York to its members.

This print is made up of 10 simple circular woodcuts influenced by traditional motifs from
Japanese textiles, a continuing interest. Given the opportunity to produce a print for the Print
Club of New York, offered some challenges. I wanted to make a print which, even though the
edition number was large, would be hands on and intimate. I cut the woodcuts at the studio in
Tivoli and hand painted them so that every one is a little different…a little different from each
other, and offered like a bouquet, each one presented as a gift. – Judy Pfaff
